Our speaker, Glenn Bernsohn of Redpoint Technologies, will be presenting a dynamic talk on getting projects started using an Agile Inception approach. Time and again we hear stories from our clients about how long it takes to get a project off the ground. The stakeholders get frustrated because it takes so long to realize business value from IT projects. IT gets frustrated because they have to produce so much paperwork before they can write a line of code. The fiscal impetus behind this situation is the desire to nail down scope, cost, and duration prior to starting any work. An Agile Inception is a technique for eliminating the frustration. When combined with adaptive planning and incremental development, the team can realize business benefits sooner and for a reduced cost. This session will provide a practical overview of an Agile Inception and describe the practical aspects of follow-on Agile project delivery where visibility and trade-off options are provided to the business on a consistent basis.
